Job Responsibilities
- Previous working experience as a Linux Administrator
- In-depth knowledge of Linux: RedHat, CentOS, Debian, Solaris, etc.
- Solid knowledge of protocols such as DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP and SNMP
- Linux certifications (RHCT, RHCE and LPIC) will be considered an advantage
- Proactively maintain and develop all Linux infrastructure technology
- Engineering of systems administration-related solutions for various project and operational needs
- Maintain best practices for managing systems and services across all environments
- Fault finding, analysis and logging information for reporting performance exceptions
- Proactively monitoring system performance and capacity planning
- Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches, and hotfixes on servers, workstations, and network hardware
- Create and modify scripts or applications to perform tasks
- Provide input on ways to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment
- Collaborate with other teams and team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes
Education and Skills
- In-depth knowledge, and troubleshooting of Linux: RedHat, CentOS, Debian, Solaris, etc.
- Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches, and hotfixes on servers, workstations, and network hardware
- Create and modify scripts or applications to perform tasks
- Linux certifications (RHCT, RHCE and LPIC) will be considered an advantage
- Preferred to have ITIL Foundation certification.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
- At least 4 years of experience in support operations of Linux
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
